You share a grown-up’s account

PiGrids doesn’t give kids their own login. A grown-up - a parent or carer - makes the account and looks after it. You use maths on their account.

They picked a nicknamefor you and a little picture. That’s how PiGrids tells you apart from other people in your family.

What PiGrids knows about you

• The nickname your grown-up chose. It doesn’t have to be your real name.
• The little picture they picked for you.
• Which maths year you’re working on, like Year 4.

That’s all. It’s a short list on purpose.

What PiGrids does NOT know

• Your birthday, or how old you are.
• Where you live.
• Your phone number or your email.
• What you look like. There’s no way to put a photo on PiGrids at all.

We never ask you for any of these. There isn’t even a box to type them in.

What PiGrids remembers when you do maths

When you answer a question, PiGrids writes down:

• which question it was
• what you answered
• whether it was right
• how long you took

Why? So it can mark your work, show you how you did, and pick good questions for you next time. Getting things wrong is how it learns what to help you with. Nobody is in trouble for a wrong answer.

Who can see it

• You.
• The grown-up who owns the account.
• Nobody else.

We don’t sell it. We don’t swap it. We don’t show you ads, so we never use your maths to pick ads for you. PiGrids has no chat, no messages and no posts, so other people can’t see you or write to you.

Getting rid of it

If you want your maths history gone, ask your grown-up. They can delete your whole profile themselves, straight away, and everything you did goes with it. They don’t have to ask us and we can’t stop them.

Even if nobody deletes anything, PiGrids clears out old answers after a year.

If something doesn’t seem right

Tell your grown-up. If a question looks wrong or something feels odd, they can email us at [email protected] and a real person will read it.
